School tip Tuesday:

Get to know who your advisors are! Advisors are a great resource for academic concerns but are also a wonderful mentor when you have other issues going on whether that be family issues, academics, friends, etc. They are always there to help!

Do you know who your advisor is?

Wellness Wednesday!

16 year olds should be getting around 10 hours of sleep and at least 1 hour of movement daily. This helps not only their physical health but their mental health too! When we feel good, we perform better, which means higher rates of success!

We believe that the recipe for success is overall wellness- including mental health. Students today face so many more challenges than students faced even 10 years ago. Which is why we’re working to bring awareness to student mental health with our new “mental health matters” t-shirt! You can purchase on the website at: stateofsuccess.org

School Tip Tuesday!

Ending the day with a quick tip is never a bad idea!

Today’s tip comes from Dr. Newman, who is our very own Education Director!

Dr. Newman says:

Build Relationships with Mentors!
Teachers, counselors, coaches, employers, and community leaders can become valuable references and recommendation writers. Connect with one adult mentor who supports your goals.

As we begin a new week, we’d like to stop and reflect on the previous week. We are overwhelmed by the support we’ve received over the years and so grateful we get to pour that same support into the next generation! We had an amazing time at the Backpack Give Back last week. Working with, mentoring and supporting Union County students.

We want to close this year’s BPGB season by saying THANK YOU to our community! On to the next! Be on the lookout for information about our next big event!

HAPPENING NOW!

Right now we are doing the annual State of Success Backpack Give Back!!! We are so excited to get out in the community and provide supplies to schools to help our Union County students achieve their goals!

🎒School tip Tuesday (Wednesday 🤭) :

Volunteer with purpose!

Volunteering is great for your college applications and resumes but it’s more important that those volunteer hours show the person reading your “brag sheet” who YOU are and what’s important to YOU!

How do you like volunteer with purpose?

📸 from past volunteer opportunities we are excited to continue with UCEC for the Backpack Give Back!

TEN DAYS UNTIL BACKPACK GIVE BACK! 🎒

How exciting! We are so grateful for the opportunities we have to be apart of student’s success! None of it would be possible without our generous donors, though. And for that, we are so very thankful! If you want to donate to a wonderful cause, you can do so at www.stateofsuccess.org
