Hello everyone!!! If you are local to Salisbury and are looking for a fun afternoon, come check out Granite Fest in Granite Quarry!! There will be lots of activities, vendors and concerts!! Rowan County Girl Scouts will be there to answer any questions about our organization and we will have open recruitment!! We will also have some awesome giveaways for kids that come by our table!! CONGRATULATIONS Juniors of Troop 1612 for completing your BRONZE AWARD!!! These ladies decided that they wanted to plant flowers that would help sustain the honey bee and other pollinating insect population. So they did 20 hours of research, that included a trip the Rose Garden Greenhouse in Salisbury, a visit with a Beekeeper along with researching the best flowers to complete their project. Today they planted their garden!! They planted a variety of perennial flowers like lavender, butterfly bushes, echinacea cones, and stonecrop, just to name a few. Here are some pictures from this entire project. I am so proud of these ladies!!
