Mental health? More like metal health.

Community third spaces such as Common Market patios are fantastic places to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and be in proximity to others.

With loneliness and social isolation plaguing people of all ages and backgrounds, we must push for more gathering spaces across Charlotte- especially those where exchanging money isn’t required. And we also have to utilize them by creating community when we’re able.

The patios are open in the Queen City, reach out to a friend you haven’t seen in person and reconnect or offer a seat to someone sitting alone.. let’s connect on a human level again.

We celebrate mental health conversations because it DOES reduce stigma!

Our all-women Board of Directors and leadership each has a personal commitment to mental health access and works hard to normalize the conversations.

The She Dreams In Color Foundation’s She Dreams In Color Foundation for Women’s mental health program This Is My Brave CharMeck This Is My Brave "The Show" CharMeck 2026 is a two year partnership with Mecklenburg County Public Health ReCASTII and Office of Violence Prevention and amplifies our mission to destigmatize mental health needs and seeking care. We’ve produced four Brave shows together and are still reaching thousands through our online videos.

Based on 70 surveys taken at our March 2026 show, respondents reported:
💛Increased community connection
💙 More confident about their own resiliency
🩷More likely to seek mental health therapy
💜Higher awareness of how mental health stigma does affect them

Changing the narrative is a daily practice and we are committed to showing up in many spaces with our messages of mental health support and wellness!

Our favorite day is Post Office Day with our Postcards To Future Self program!

100 postcards are on their way to those who wrote them two months ago.

When you receive your postcard, tag us!

We love seeing which of the six designs people choose and finding out what spoke to them about that particular art we’ve commisssioned.

Postcards To Future Self is a third-person, future-speak mental health modality.

If you’ve gotten a postcard, which one did you choose?
