About Last Night

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who came out in support of Movie Night Out With the Family: The Polar Express Experience. Your presence and engagement helped make the evening truly memorable.

We would like to recognize and thank our collaborative partners for their leadership and commitment: Locked Out Love Inc., Revolution Park Sports Academy, Unbreakable by Faith, Save Our Children Movement (SOCM), and SpringClean. Your collective efforts were instrumental in bringing this experience to life and ensuring it was impactful for the community.

We also extend our appreciation to our elected officials, Judge Mobley and Councilwoman Brown, for taking the time to join us and show visible support for family-centered community engagement.

A special thank you to our North Pole guests—Santa Claus and the Grinch—for adding joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments for our children.

Because of each of you, we were able to create a meaningful evening that delivered smiles, connection, and holiday spirit to families across our community.

Statement of Condolence on the Passing of Chief Vicki Foster

We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Chief Vicki Foster. Her passing is a profound loss not only to those who knew and loved her personally, but to the entire Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.

Chief Foster served with unwavering dedication, compassion, and integrity throughout her years with CMPD. She was a trailblazer whose leadership left a lasting impact—especially in how she led with heart, courage, and a deep commitment to justice and community healing.

Her support for community initiatives, her respect for all people, and her fierce belief in the power of unity set her apart as a true servant leader. She carried out her duties with both strength and grace, never wavering in her mission to build bridges and bring dignity to the badge.

We honor her legacy and will continue to be inspired by her example of service, respect, and resilience.

May her soul rest in peace, and may her contributions never be forgotten.

Rest in Peace
