I am praying for you tonight..I don't know you personally but if you are caring for someone with dementia\Alzheimers..I am praying ..people who hasn't been here won't understand ..but we do.. we can tell them..but unless the others go thru it they will look at us like we are losing it.. So tonight I am praying for you..I pray that you have a calm and peaceful nite tonight.. and I pray you are safe and feel safe.. I pray that you look to God for comfort and peace.. I used to dread the nights of the full moon.. I too used to be afraid.. although I knew he loved me so.. the full moon changed him.. so tonight I sit and pray for you.. < Donna >

Tricia and I wanted to reach out to everyone..at this time of the world going topsy turvy with the COVID-19. It is a difficult time for everyone. But we also know how trying these times are for you as you care for your loved one who struggles with this terrible disease..We have not only walked the walk but we have talked the talk.. Because social distancing has become so important we want you to know we are still available..we still have some alarm mats, purple light bulbs, and flyers to pass around to your neighbors explaining our mission to help keep your loved ones safe..please reach out to us either by calling Tricia (please leave a message if no answer) or reach us here..Even through this pandemic we will try and reach out to you in a safe manner.. I used to start to dread these.. the New Moon. Red Moon, Harvest Moon, Full Moon..etc etc.. the change in a person's mood is real..

Earthsky.org says the moon will be 222,081 miles (357,404 km) from the earth on Monday night.

Do you know anyone suffering with Dementia or Alzheimers? Please don't hesitate to message us if you would like to try the mat or even if you would like Boucher's and a purple light bulb to put outside. Our motive behind the purple light is to raise awareness that someone suffering with Alzheimers/Dementia resides at this home. If they are wondering the neighborhood you could help guide them back. Guess most of you should already know you can't get rid of me easily.. I can hear my brother laughing and saying " you got that right "!! And it all started with a light bulb.. a purple light bulb..I notice a difference in him..I could tell his mind was taking him somewhere and I was afraid he would wander off.. I had always burned a green light on our front porch to honor our military and one day a friend asked was that light for Don.. so it got me thinking..( some would say that could be dangerous ) 🤣 I bought a purple light bulb and made flyers to spread around the neighborhood..palliative care..drs..to spread awareness that if someone seen that purple light to be aware.. if someone looks lost,confused, please reach out to someone..that person just might belong to that purple light.. And now we have went a step farther a mat, in honor of my brother.. so please help us to help others to "Never Walk Alone" all my love - Donna - ( aka Mama D )

"Well it works! My son and I were running around trying to turn off the smoke alarm and it was the bed alarm." Was a text I received from this sweet beautiful lady that cares for her husband. ( In her defense her son was cooking on the grill and there was smoke in the house 😂 ) I got the privilege of meeting her and her husband today. Uncle Don would be proud to know he helped a fellow veteran and his wife today. May Mr. Drum Never Walk Alone!! - Tricia

" NEVER WALK ALONE"

When things started to take a turn for the worst my mom would call me in a panic, afraid that my uncle who suffers from dementia would wander away and get lost. With some research, I found out about Project Life Saver and contacted Lt. Matt Burleyson with the ICSO. Who offers wristbands with tracking devices that could help locate someone if they became missing. After meeting with him and my mom we decided this device would not be beneficial for my uncle because he fidgets with everything.
At bedtime was the worst she was always afraid to sleep knowing at any time his mind would decide to take him where it wanted to go. So through social media and searching the internet she found a mat that had a sensor that she lay beside his bed and the moment his feet would touch it, it would send a signal to a pager and the alarm would sound. The care angels and her could carry the alarm wherever they went and be by his side in seconds.
After brainstorming ways to help others that care for their loved ones at home with this terrible disease, My mom, and I came up with " Never Walk Alone " which consists of the mat, a purple light bulb to put on your front porch and a brochure explaining our mission in honor of my uncle Don.
" IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO KEEP OUR LOVED ONES SAFE AND WE HOPE THAT THIS WILL MAKE SOME THINGS A LITTLE EASIER AND BRING A PEACE OF MIND"
