Troop 233 had an incredible weekend at the All-Girls Camporee of the East Coast! Our scouts showed enthusiasm and determination as they earned merit badges, built fires, crafted emergency shelters, lashed seats, practiced first aid, and tackled tough challenges together. Huge congratulations to all patrols for their hard work, and to the 233 Koala Patrol for taking 2nd place overall! We’re so proud of the entire troop for their dedication, teamwork, and shining scout spirit!

Thank you to the Mecklenburg County Council for a great weekend of fellowship and challenges!

63 miles and every scout made it through the rapids, the adults can’t say the same. Somehow they were singing louder on the bus ride back to the outfitter than on the way out. Great trip, time to head home.

57 miles completed! These ladies are amazing, stopping to clean up trash and getting to camp early each day. Today we say goodbye to our canoes and hello to kayaks for the last 6 miles of class III rapids. I haven’t heard much complaining, but I have heard a lot of excited talk about tomorrow’s rapids and the stories they will tell when they get home.

Off on High Adventure 2024: 63 miles and 120 rapids to over 5 days on the Dan River. Already picked up quite the haul cleaning up the river.
