Dana will walk us through practical, easy-to-understand steps women can take to better manage, grow, and protect their finances with more clarity and confidence. Whether you feel financially savvy or have no idea where to start, there’s something to learn!

We’re also kicking off our September–November Community Project supporting Greenwood Pathway House, which serves individuals and families in our community experiencing homelessness. We’ll be collecting much-needed household, food, and personal-care items at our upcoming meetings, and monetary donations are welcome as well. ❤️

Let’s be honest—being a busy working woman can sometimes feel like a full-time job all on its own! 😅 Between work, family, responsibilities, and everything in between, finding time for everything can feel impossible.

Join us Tuesday, August 18 from 12–1 PM at the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce for our August meeting, where Sarah Jane Scheirer will lead us in a conversation about time management and creating more balance in our busy lives. 💼✨

💙 Keeping Our Community Cool! 💙

Throughout the month of July, BPW of Greenwood collected fans to support The Salvation Army and help provide some relief to individuals and families in our community during these hot summer months.

Thanks to the generosity of our BPW members and supporters, we were able to donate 16 fans to The Salvation Army! 🌀💙 We are so proud of what we can accomplish when we come together to support our community.

A huge thank-you to everyone who donated and helped make this possible! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and make a difference right here in Greenwood. 💙

A huge thank you to Charming Gourmet Sticks for treating our BPW Greenwood members to these absolutely delicious chocolate-covered pretzel sticks at last night’s meeting! 🍫🥨✨

We are so grateful for your generosity and support of our organization. Every pretzel was as beautiful as it was delicious!

We also love celebrating and supporting local businesses, especially Black woman-owned businesses that are making a positive impact in our community. For our July community service project, BPW Greenwood is collecting new, unused box fans for the Salvation Army of Greenwood to help local families stay cool during these hot summer months.

If you’re coming to our July 21 meeting, we’d love for you to bring a fan with you. If you’d rather give financially, you can send a donation to our Cash App, $bpwgwd. A new box fan costs about $20, but any amount helps and will go toward purchasing fans.

This Independence Day, we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and the extraordinary women whose courage, determination, and leadership helped shape our nation.

From Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks to Amelia Earhart, Shirley Chisholm, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and countless others, these women broke barriers, challenged expectations, and paved the way for future generations. Their stories remind us that progress is built by those who have the courage to stand up, speak out, and lead.

At Business & Professional Women of Greenwood, we are proud to carry that legacy forward by supporting, encouraging, and empowering women to grow as leaders in their careers, their communities, and beyond.
