There’s something deeply freeing about realizing you don’t have to outgrow every part of yourself.
SpongeBob saves Bikini Bottom without becoming cooler, tougher, or more “grown-up.” He wins while still being enthusiastic, ridiculous, sincere, and completely himself.
Jesus’ invitation to become like children isn’t about being childish. It’s about humility, openness, wonder, and letting go of the need to prove that we’re important.
So keep the parts of you that still light up over silly things. Keep laughing too hard. Keep caring too much. Keep being a goofy goober.

A software engineer signs up to have his head frozen and wakes up a century later as the AI running a self-replicating space probe. Then he starts making copies of himself, and every copy turns out a little different. It's funny, nerdy, and packed with sci-fi references. It also raises big questions about identity, consciousness, and what makes you *you*.

Shopkeeper by day, dungeon crawler by night. Dive into dangerous dungeons for loot, then haggle over what to charge the villagers for it back home. It's a roguelite with a retail job, and you'll never look at a price tag the same way again.

Even when goodbye feels heavier than you expected, it does not mean the story has ended.

*Trails in the Sky SC* is a reminder that love, friendship, and hope do not disappear just because the road gets harder. The bonds you build become something you can lean on when the sky darkens. They become wings when your own strength feels too small.

So if you’re carrying a hard goodbye, an unfinished chapter, or a reunion you’re still waiting for: keep walking. Trust what love has already planted in you. Some connections are strong enough to survive distance, storms, and silence.

Even when your thoughts feel scattered, you are not meant to figure everything out alone.

The Motherlobe is a reminder that every mind carries something different: a memory, a gift, a perspective, a weird little spark nobody else could bring. Community happens when we stop pretending one person has to hold the whole map, and start trusting what we can discover together.

So if you’re stuck in your own head this week, reach outward. Ask the question. Share the idea. Let someone else help connect the pieces. Sometimes the breakthrough only appears when all our strange, wonderful minds are in the room.

We hosted a fantastic conversation with Dorcas Cheng-Tozun around Social Justice for the Sensitive Soul this past Sunday and it was phenomenal! We so appreciate her taking time to talk to our digital-first church. She gave us permission for self-care and also hope for the ways that we can serve in meaningful ways that speak to where God is calling us.

Even when the sea is rough, you still get to choose the kind of captain you want to become.

The Jackdaw is a reminder that freedom is not the same as drifting. It is learning how to steer with purpose: trusting your crew, reading the wind, and refusing to let the storm decide your story for you.

So if this week feels wide open and a little overwhelming, do not wait for perfect conditions. Raise the sail anyway. Take the next heading. Let the people beside you help steady the ship.

Kirby’s whole thing is copying powers and diving into wild, strange worlds.
But between boss fights, he just…sits by the water, takes a nap, and lets everything be soft for a minute.

If you feel like you’ve been holding your breath over life’s hazards, treat this post like a safe ledge. Exhale. Land. Remember you don’t have to be good at everything to be loved. In Jesus we meet a God who shows up right in our weakness—and invites us into a party of wildly different teammates who cover each other’s gaps.
