Brick “Bryant” McDermott, Jr.’s life ended abruptly at thirteen years old, but his legacy lives on. His infectious smile, zest for life, and kind heart immediately engaged you. He held a depth and strength of character that was unique for a thirteen-year-old, always welcoming friends to share in the fun. ll his heart. Always up for an adventure, they loved to travel and spend time with extended family and friends. Bryant was always the life of the party and his enthusiasm was magnetic. Bryant’s love for sports began at an early age. His natural ability to handle a ball, his determination and his drive flourished early. He played football and basketball for many local Charlotte programs, as well as at his middle school, Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School. He wore many jerseys and his favorite Air Jordans with great confidence and ability. His love of playing sports and cheering on many sports teams was a true passion.
