8 Water Saving Tips:

1. Turn off the faucet when brushing your teeth.
2. Put a plastic bag full of water in your toilet to reduce
volume of water being flushed.
3. Make your showers shorter.
4. Put full loads in your washing machine and dishwasher to reduce in between washes.
5 If you have a dripping faucet fix it.
6. Water your garden in the morning with a water jug instead of your hose.
7. Install a water meter to make you aware of water usage.
8. When it's time to replace water based items like your shower heads, faucets, toilets, washing machines and dishwashers with water saving replacements.

CAPACITY BUILDING MATHEMATICS AND ENGLISH COMPETITION (CBM&EC) GRAND FINALE AND AWARD GIVING DAY 2022 HELD ON THE 4TH OF JUNE AT STAFF DEVELOPMENT CENTRE ABAKALIKI, NIGERIA.

The Capacity Building Mathematics Competition 2022 grand finale and award giving day started at exactly 9:00 AM with an opening prayers from a wonderful student.
The testimonies from the students who participated in the Capacity Building Mathematics and English Competition (CBM&EC) showed that indeed the competition was of a good aid to the students. Which gave them and edge to prepare and study more hard towads their West African Examination Council (WEAC). Most of the students who took the examination testified that, the examination really made them to go and study more, dig deep and be over prepared which made their WAEC a successful and simple one. The included that the examination questions were "more difficult" (brain tasking) than the WAEC questions.
Doctor Solomon educated the students and the audience at large on the nuggets of success both academically and in life too. He dwell intensively on Dedication, Determination and Deligence. Which led to the end of his success tips.
Then, the host came in and a quick question and answer session came in, titled "BRAINTEASER"
The students participated actively in the brain teaser. It was such an amazing segment, they indeed think so speedily, made quick analysis and even calculations just to get the correct answer for each of the questions dished out. Not only did they display high level of intelligence, they also did asked questions and as well giving answers to them. After the fun segment, the second talk was being made by Engineer Udumade.
Engineer Udumade began his section with a congratulatory message to the students for making it this far, urging them to keep studying and never give up, they should always aim high and stay high. After his introductory speech he welcome Mr. Daniel the Founder/Managing Director of the Rescuer and Friends Foundation ( The R Team) that connect live from South Korea via the zoom meeting where he expressed his gratitude for the commitment of the staff and the Co partners that worked very hard even in his absence and also appreciated the students for their high level of commitment and dedication.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction concerning the students performance in the competition. He concluded by charging the students to stick to commitment and personal capacity development that will make them stand out among their peers.
The co founder of Lift in Love international, Bunmi Moore also connect live from United States of America via the zoom meeting, she was delighted to connect with the students and the expression and jubilation was obvious amist the students, she started by appreciating the students for the modesty in dressing and appreance to the community. She admonished them to also be diligent in their daily life activities and to also believe in their capacity to execute anything they have designed in their hearts to execute and they will be able to deliver it to the fullest. She rounded up by appreciating the team for their commitment and dedication towards the competition.
The prize and award session was anchored by Owutoshi Solomon the Co-Founder of Lift in Love international where all the students were presented with Certificate of participation and the top ten students were awarded scholarships, school bags, mathematical set, note books and other learning materials- their names are as follows -

REPORT FOR THE SECOND DAY OF CAPACITY BUILDING MATHEMATICS AND ENGLISH COMPETITION.
The second day of the Capacity Building Mathematics and English Competition (CBM&EC) 2021/2022 session took place on Saturday, 14th May, 2022 at EBSU staff University Hall by 9:30 AM.

Do you know that Mathematics provides an effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and mental rigor. In addition, mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies, and even music and art.
Mathematics competitions are also a model to promote STEM learning from a young age. Through these contests, young ones can challenge their math skills. The motivation to win makes them work harder towards achieving greatness.

The students and teachers arrived few minutes to 9:0 AM and they were properly sitted by 9:30 AM after which a students name Judith from Nnodo Secondary school took the opening prayers.

Mr Solomon owutoshi welcomed the students once again and admonished them to be calm as they were already panicking that they were able to fear their biggest fear in academics after which he welcome one Mr Okpolu Obinna who is one of the winner and beneficiary of the first edition of Capacity Building Mathematics Competition.
Mr obinna said "I was shocked when I was chosen by my Mathematics teacher to represent my school in the competition because I was not prepared then, I had to take courageous steps to face it with all the strength and energy that I had. By the help of God, I came out as one of the winners of the competition.

Questions papers were administered with answer booklet to the students at exactly 10:00 AM for the theory part of the Mathematics part of the competition which lasted for period of three hours.

After the theory session of the exams that ended at 1:00 PM, the students were given ten minutes to refresh themselves and get set to the objective session comprising of fifty questions for an hour thirty minutes.

After the collection of their objective answer sheet, Mr Solomon Owutoshi asked the the students to get sitted for a brief talks. He started by congratulating them for being brave and courageous of taking the bull by the horn and conquering the mountain before them.
He asked few students to express their experience during the competition.

Chika from Nnodo Secondary school shared her experience "the competition is actually difficult but it's has open my mind to new way of reasoning and its show where I need to prepare"

Favour from Akanu Ibiam memorial seminary shared his experience - at first I was thinking that I will just work over the questions but by the time I open my questions paper, it done on me that I need to reason out my brain before I could even answer a question and this has challenged me to work harder.

Mr Owutoshi concluded by congratulating them and also praying that God will help them to get to the top.

Marking will begin by Monday and the result would be announced on the grand finale and awarding day - 3rd of June, 2022, and ten(10) best students who Must score both in Mathematics and English Language at least a benchmark of 50% would be awarded. Other materials that would aid their learning will also giving to the students. As a way of encouraging teachers in their profession, the teachers of the first five (5) best students who were able to score at least 50% in both Mathematics and English Language would also be awarded. Both the teachers and the students will be certified. It's a day to look forward to. A day of celebrating excellence.
