The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) announces the next NCHA Vice President will be Barnwell Ramsey from Huntersville, North Carolina. Ramsey will take on his new position as Vice President starting June 25, 2023.

“The NCHA is a strong organization, well positioned on a road that keeps our western heritage alive,” incoming NCHA vice-president, Ramsey said. “That road to success is always under construction and it runs through its members. I want to continue building that road.”

What’s your favorite memory within the National Cutting Horse Association?

I am grateful for so many memories made during the best 2:30 minutes on dirt, but one of my favorite would be on Mia Sugar Baby, who marked 216 early in the competition and held on to win the Futurity Non-Pro finals by a point at James Brown Arena during the Augusta Cutting Horse Futurity.

The entire Ramsey family was in attendance to see me claim my first Augusta Futurity victory. I’ve always believed maybe that’s why I did so good.

I’d like to help you and your family create these memories as well. In order to help me achieve this, I need YOUR vote for Vice President of the NCHA! Voting for the NCHA Vice President Election will take place through May 31, 2023.

It is time to vote for NCHA Vice President! Breeders, owners and competitors sometimes have very different goals and look at things from very different perspectives. I can examine issues that the Executive Committee will face from the perspective of all three of those groups while still maintaining and preserving our western heritage. I want to help keep NCHA on the continued path to excellence.

I believe I am the right person for job, but most importantly, take the time to vote. This is YOUR opportunity to be involved in the decisions the NCHA will make for YOUR future.
