Baskets of Hugs

Hope everyone is doing well. I haven’t been on in a while because life is busy! Unfortunately we have a mom who lost her son last week. I realize people want to know who they’re donating to, we can talk about the situation vaguely, but due to legal matters, I cannot post names or the situation on here.
I would like to make her a small basket and I told her granddaughter I could come Friday. I know chocolate bars, German chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies are favorites.

One more basket I would like to put a rush on if anyone can donate!
I have a close friend who has been diagnosed with Oropharynx cancer base of left side of tongue.
This friend will be starting treatment immediately after Christmas. She will have a final location as of Friday. It’s a toss up between Duke or in her home receiving treatment in Charlotte. Her immune system will be weak, so she will not be able be around friends & family.
I think gas cards for her husband, food gift cards, anything inspirational, A donation towards the facility she can stay in during treatment ( $30 per night) and I am meeting up with her soon to set up a GoFundMe to cover some of her income because she worked 3 jobs 🤦🏻‍♀️ I will post the link here when I get it this week. Anything soft , things to read. Uplifting, but hopefully something to make her laugh too. She will need something to fit all moods good through this…

because she’s very independent, but one of the most giving people I know. It’s her turn. We can share the link when I get it. It will go straight to her account. Not mine.

There is a Mom I have known for years that lost her daughter on November 12th. My brother-in-law’s mom. I messaged the kids to ask about things to put in her basket. I will post in the comments tomorrow if anyone would like to donate to that. And as always, feel free to share!

Hey guys, the description didn’t allow me much room to post. After what my family has been through the past year, these kinds of things have become important to us. We recently put together a basket for a mom who lost her daughter with all kinds of goodies in there. And I would like to continue doing so as situations arise. But what I would like to do for now it’s just post a situation and if you would like to donate to that particular basket, you may. If you know of someone who may need one you may post also.
