We’re excited to share this coverage from Qcitymetro.com on She Built This City’s vision for the future Skilled Trades Campus.

This project represents more than a building. It represents expanded pathways into the skilled trades, deeper community impact, and a bold investment in what’s possible for Charlotte.

Thank you to QCity Metro for always jumping right in with our coverage and helping us share this work with the community.

She Built This City, a Black-led nonprofit that trains women in the building trades, called the 4-acre project a "transformational moment" for the organization.

They say it takes a village. At She Built This City, sometimes it also takes childcare, courage, and a whole lot of determination. For Rosalba, support during Pre-Apprenticeship didn’t just make it possible for her to show up and learn, it also made a difference for her son. Because when moms have access, kids benefit too. Turns out building futures can start with building in the right support. Stay with Rosalba’s story, this part matters.
