Grateful for the family. Grateful for my wife. Grateful for the young kings. Grateful for the 3rd son coming. Grateful for morning rituals. Grateful for the new home. Grateful that work is fulfilling.
Work/ed hard for this, like many of us do. So fortunate to experience this part of life.

Want to share my art. I've been trying hard recently (~2yrs) to love myself more and be at peace with my body and its changes. So as a practice I've been working on a few self portraits to help me slow down and embrace who I am. Flaws and all. This is the most recent project.

The black silhouette was done with painstaking care w/ the help of my wife.
Portraying me being sheltered in the canopy of a weeping willow tree (sentimental), gold leaf for my locs to signifying their glory in spite of my receding hairline, and silver leafing for my beard to signify wisdom and handsome because I'm him.
