National Beach Day! ⁠✨ Did you know that 8 million pieces of plastic will make its way into our oceans today? This happens every👏🏽 single👏🏽 day👏🏽 As like-minded people for the planet, what can we do to ensure our beaches, waterways, marine life, and communities are being protected?⁠

¡Recognize where we are having negative impacts⁠
¡Take (3) for the sea Take 3⁠
¡Choose safer personal care products, like sustainable, reef-safe sunscreen
¡Don't feed marine life
¡Bring a reusable water bottle and utensils
¡Join a local clean up!⁠
¡Donate to organizations dedicated to ocean conservation Take 3 Ocean Conservancy Surfrider Foundation Sea-shepherd Oceanic Preservation Society (OPS)

What’s so special about this day in particular you may ask?⁠

Since 1973, August 26th has been the nationally recognized day to commemorate the passage of the 19th Amendment. This granted equal rights to women - including the right to vote! ⁠
⁠
As a society, we can clearly recognize that we have a lot more work to do in order to create a more equal, equitable, and just world. However today we can take a well-deserved moment to honor our feminine power, take note of all of the progress that has been made, and reflect on how we can continue to propel in the direction of positive change.⁠
