🚨🚨Hey Hey Hopers🚨🚨 Did you know? Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed on the third Monday in January each year, honoring the birth of a true icon—Dr. King, born on January 15th, 1929. ✨

The journey to make this a national holiday began right after his assassination in 1968, and it wasn’t until 1983 that it was officially recognized across the U.S. It took 17 more years for all 50 states to join in.

This day is more than just a holiday—it's a “day on, not a day off.” 💙 It’s a chance to give back and serve your community. Consider volunteering or participating in local service opportunities to honor Dr. King’s legacy. Happy MLK Jr. Day! 🖤✊🏾

And be sure to check out BOH’s latest post for MLK Jr. events happening in Charlotte, NC!
