We all struggle. Some struggle so deeply, it feels like there is no way out. We are here to help find their way out. It takes trust to let someone see the pain enough to help. Even then, they have to believe they are worth it. PLEASE pray for our most hurting. God knows their hurts, pain, grief, and sorrows. You don't need to be specific. Just remember them in heartfelt prayer. Changing Lives Together

This is a midyear plea...We are out of funds. This week I had to turn away three families in need of emergency shelter. Yes, there are organizations that offer assistance. But you know what? Those organizations are calling us to help because they are also out of money. Have you ever told a family with four children that you can't help them? Knowing they will be sleeping in their car? I wish I haven't. Lincoln County, why are our families sleeping in their cars?

Today a client gets to read because YOU donated books to our Reading is Life Mobile Library. Thank you! She is our first library user. We will spend July and August focusing on the homeless population as we get everything set up and kinks worked out.

If you'd like to donate books, we have a donation bin at Cabbella's Coffee Shop on Business 16 in Denver and we now can accept donations at our office at Christian Ministries on Poplar Street in Lincolnton.

Our treasurer and outreach caseworker has been helping guide a young woman through pregnancy. Our beautiful new member of the StSO family was born last night! He's 7lbs 12 ozs, 20.5 inches long, and full of incredible preciousness. Mom and son are both doing well!

When you choose to give to Soul to Soul Outreach, Inc. , you become the village that helps us all.

He did not choose the ground he landed on —
a roof that belongs to someone else's grace,
no car in the driveway,
no paycheck coming Friday.

He did not choose instability for a crib,
or parents who want, more than anything,
to be the ones providing —
and aren't able to yet.
He did not choose any of it.

And yet — here he is.
Here is a mother who carried him through it.
Here is a father, learning to carry, too.

This is the truth our community knows:
that beauty is not the absence of hardship,
it is what gets made inside it —
by people who keep showing up anyway.

A spare room offered without being asked twice.
A ride to a doctor's appointment.
A case worker who returned the call.
A meal that someone else cooked, just because.

None of it erases the hard road behind,
or the one still ahead.
But, every bit of it is meaningful. It is a hand on the small of the back - teaching, loving, lifting.

So when you give — your time, your money, your casserole dish,
your seat at the table — know what you're really giving:
not charity, but infrastructure.
Not pity, but the scaffolding a family stands on.

This child will grow up in the world as it is.
Let him also grow up inside a circle
of people who decided
that as it is wasn't good enough for him —
and did something about it.
