Congratulations to JaMaica Lee — our very first Doris J. Flood Memorial Scholarship recipient!

JaMaica is a proud graduate of KIPP Pride High School and a rising freshman at Elizabeth City State University, where she plans to major in Social Work. Her commitment to success, giving back, and uplifting others perfectly reflects the spirit of this scholarship.

In her own words: “It means the world to have support from individuals who share the same hometown area as me. Acknowledging that members from my own community believe in my potential gives me a sense of gratitude and brings a deep encouragement and connection that will stay with me while pursuing my long term aspirations. It's a reminder that I’m not alone on this new journey of adulthood and it inspires me to soon be able to support other young college students financially, emotionally, and academically.”

We are incredibly proud to support JaMaica as she begins this exciting new chapter. May her journey be filled with growth, purpose, and impact — just like the legacy this scholarship was created to honor. ❤️🎓✨

For the THIRD year in a row, the Flood Family Foundation has been awarded a $3,000 grant from Reser's Fine Foods through their Reser’s Cares community giving initiative!

This continued support allows us to pour back into our communities, ensuring that families in need and college students receive the resources and opportunities they deserve. From providing meals to creating educational opportunities, we are committed to making a lasting impact.

A huge thank you to Reser’s Fine Foods for believing in our mission and helping us uplift those who need it most! Let’s keep leading the change we want to see!

🎓🎉 Congratulations to our 2021-2022 We Are Ramily Scholarship Recipient, Alanna Speller! 🎉🎓

Today, we celebrate the incredible achievement of Alanna who recently graduated from our alma mater, Winston-Salem State University, with a degree in Nursing and who also recently passed her NCLEX, the nationwide examination for the licensing of nurses.

Throughout her academic journey, Alanna has shown remarkable dedication, resilience, and passion. From excelling in her coursework to working part-time, Alanna truly made the most of her college experience.

FFF is extremely honored to share that we are the recipients of a $5,000 grant from the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, following a nomination we received from and Mayor of Ahoskie, NC, Mayor Weyling J. White!

For decades the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust has worked for equitable access to quality health care, education, and economic opportunity for every resident of Forsyth County and across North Carolina and it’s efforts, paired with Mayor White’s service on the Trust’s Forsyth County Advisory Council has made this obtainment possible!

We’re grateful to have been one of this year’s grant recipients and are proud to pay this type of kindness and giving back through our The Flood Family: We Are Ramily! Scholarship.
