A moment of silence for the addict who will pick up for the very first time tonight, not knowing what they are getting themselves into, and for the addict who will pick up for the very last time and never wake up.
FYI, the relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020. Mental health issues related to our lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression.
NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Health have a 24 hour helpline: 800-950-6264.

This Virus has slowed my performing and speaking for a few months. I had a busy spring set up only to watch every single performance/presentation postpone or cancel. Totally understandable with what’s going on, so your boy had to get a day job. Years ago I went to Job Corps and completed the Carpenters apprenticeship. It was a year long course. I finished it in 3 months. When others got done at 3:30 I would stay and work an extra hour while the instructor was still there. When he left I left. I could’ve graduated but I just walked out when I finished my last test. They mailed me my papers. It was a Friday afternoon when I left there. By Friday night I had a job and started Monday. But it came in handy. I had something to fall back to make ends meet during these times.

I ended up working on my home rez (Crow Creek Sioux Tribe) with the current Chairman Peter Lengkeek. A program called Tree of Life had church volunteers and donations coming into the reservation. We fixed houses, simple repairs like fix leaks, built handicapped wheel chair accessible ramps for elderly so they could get get in and out of their house, sheet rocked a building for a local thrift store and even started a community garden. I think Oprah donated a Green House. People could come and work the garden and green house and take what they need for food. I encourage y’all to do something like that for your reservation. We have enough Rez mechanics and carpenters on our reservations to teach our young men. That way they can learn something. I’ve learned to work on cars from my grandpas and uncles. So I work on our vehicles when they need to be fixed and also I can work on our home. Save a lot of money that way. Growing up we didn’t have a lot of money so we learned to work on things and fix them our selves.

I’ve never been on food stamps or any type of goverenment assistance my whole adult life. I try to stay self sufficient. I’ve always worked. I only didn’t have a day job the last 3-4 years where comedy had been steady for me. So all y’all kids. Go to a trade school or pick up a skill. You’re going to need multiple hustles to get through tough times. Nobody is immune to hard times. Sometimes the comedy shows and rap albums don’t always pan out. This way you’ll have something to fall back on.

This job was 3 weeks long. Long enough to remind me that there are hard working Native Bros who go out and put in that work day in and day out just to provide for their families. Shout out to y’all! My hats off to ya. As for me. I’m going back to work doing comedy next month. I got some performances lined up. I’ve had a good break and am ready to get back at it! And I’m taking paid sponsorships for videos. If y’all want to buy an ad and have your clothing brand, small business, program and or message in one of my videos hit me up! We can work something out. Have a good weekend y’all. 💪🙌🏾👍🏾
PS: These white boys drink monster and jam Creed, Slayer and Nickleback. Atleast it ain’t just missing her music. Lol. Might have to play them some Bad Nation, Sharpshooter or Midnight Express and give em some sage tea. 😂
