💚🌱 Want to Support the Mission of Farmstead Recon? 🌱💚

Many of you have asked how you can support what we're building here at Farmstead Recon, so we've made it simple.

Farmstead Recon is a veteran-led therapeutic homestead dedicated to creating opportunities for healing, growth, connection, and purpose through nature, agriculture, and community. Every seed planted, project completed, workshop hosted, and resource shared helps move that mission forward.

If you would like to support our efforts, we've created a PayPal account where donations can be made directly to Farmstead Recon. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue developing the homestead and expanding opportunities to serve veterans, service members, their families, and our local community.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who has encouraged, supported, shared our content, and believed in this vision. Your support means more than you know.

I planted a beautiful Teddy Bear Sunflower that I picked up at Capitol Market - Charleston, WV last week, and I also put up the flag that my sweet sister Jennifer gifted us. Both may seem like small additions, but they represent things we value deeply here on the homestead—growth, gratitude, family, and faith.

As the sunflower grows and the flag waves over our homestead, they will serve as daily reminders of the blessings we've been given and the purpose behind what we're building at Farmstead Recon.

Here's to planting seeds, honoring those we love, and continuing to create a place of healing, hope, and community. 🌱❤️🤍💙

🌟 Big News from the Homestead! 🌟

Yesterday was an unforgettable evening for us — we officially moved onto our homestead property! 🏡✨

Momo was so excited that he couldn't even wait for it to dry up outside, he has learned how to open the camper door and he has snuck out quite a few times (videos in the comments)... 😼😺

After all the dreaming, planning, and hard work, we’re finally HERE. It’s such a huge milestone for us, and we couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter. There’s still plenty of work ahead (so much to build and grow!), but this feels like the most important step yet.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, encouragement, and support you’ve shown us along the way. It means more than you know! ❤️

Who else is living the homestead dream or working toward it? Drop a 🌱 below and tell us your favorite part about it!

Farmstead Recon LLC is proud to announce that we completed the QPR Gatekeeper Training and are now officially QPR Gatekeeper Certified.

QPR stands for Question. Persuade. Refer. — a nationally recognized su***de prevention training that equips everyday people to recognize warning signs, offer hope, and help connect someone to life-saving support.

As a veteran-led therapeutic homestead, supporting the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of veterans, service members, and their families isn’t just part of what we do—it’s at the heart of who we are.

A huge THANK YOU to the Farmer Veteran Coalition for sponsoring this training and investing in the veteran farming community. Your support helps organizations like ours become better equipped to serve those who have served.

The veteran community has lost too many brothers and sisters to silent battles. If Farmstead Recon can be one more safe place, one more listening ear, one more connection to hope… then this matters.

💚 Check on your people.
💚 Ask the hard question.
💚 Be willing to listen.
💚 Hope can save a life.

If you’re a veteran, service member, or family member who needs community—you are not alone.

I left my phone recording while I ran to grab something, hoping this little turtle might make a move. What I captured was a great reminder that nature operates on its own timeline.

Slowly but surely, he peeked his head out, took his time checking things out, and finally decided the worm was worth the effort! 😄

Moments like these are one of the reasons we love homestead life. There's something special about slowing down long enough to appreciate the simple things happening all around us. Sometimes the best moments come when we're patient enough to wait for them.

🌿 Nature doesn't rush, and neither did this little guy.
