The Parkersburg Scout Shop will be closed Thursday, July 30th. Paving and utility work is closing 19th Street and the shop will not be accessible.

Summer Camp assistance needed
We have a few positions we need to fill
Week 1 - June 14-20.
Week 2 - June 21-27

Rifle Range Assistant - 17+
Archery 21+
Camp commissioner 18+
Merit Badge Counselor
Archery 21+
Cooking 8a-5p week June 22-26
Electronics/Electricity 3-415
Emerg Prep 1030-1145 and 3-415
First Aid 9-1015 and 130-245
Metal Working 1030 -1145
Pioneering 130-245
Ranger Assistant could be evenings
Rifle Assistant 17+ all day
Wood Carving MBC 1030-1145
While we have a robotics counselor at 3pm I would love to be able to offer it at a different time
Any of these could be taught in the evening from 7-9pm if daytime doesn’t work for you. And the times are also flexible.

None of these positions require overnight stays but it is an option.
Some may be paid others would be volunteer but please let me know if you would like to help make Camp Arrowhead program great.

The Charleston Scout Shop will be closed Saturday, February 7th, due to inclement weather.

In anticipation of the incoming winter storm, the Wehrle Service Center, Charleston Scout Shop, Huntington Scout Shop, and Parkersburg Scout Shop will be closed Monday, January 26th.
We will reopen Tuesday, January 27th.

The West Virginia United Methodist Men are sponsoring National Jamboree scholarships for five scouts from the Buckskin Council and 5 scouts from the Mountaineer Council. These scholarships are worth $300.00 each.
To apply for this scholarship: #1 - You must first have attended the West Virginia Circuit Rider Camp in 2024 or 2025. #2 - You must write an essay on “What you plan to learn” at the National Jamboree. The essay must be at least 200 words.
The deadline for the entry for the scholarship is January 1, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be chosen by January 10, 2026.
