Life is definitely lifing around here!

We have been quiet but definitely not standing still. There's a lot going on in the background for us and it's a little overwhelming. I am working on catching up!

He does his best deep thinking in that "chair". πŸ˜‚
It's been a long week.
We saw ENT for a follow up and that appointment was "fine". Freddie does have a new sinus infection though. 😭 His nose gets completely clogged and when he sneezes it looks like it hurts because it comes out of his mouth and eyes. Now we have ear drops and are waiting on an antibiotic. In the hopes that we can clear this up before it turns into anything more. We made it four months without needing an antibiotic. ❀️

These are my favorite things that Freddie brings home from camp. Although I have no idea how much "effort" he actually put into making this himself, I know that he helped. And he probably couldn't wait to be done with the craft. Because he isn't really fond of it. πŸ˜‚ But this is my reminder that he is here today. And he will do arts and crafts at camp because life is worth living.

He reminds me at just the right time, to not be so serious, and also.... just do the thing. It might be the funnest thing you've ever done. ⭐

July 9, 2019.

Freddie was still in the frontline part of treatment for ALL. He had just turned 3. We met a lot of new friends on Facebook and throughout the world. He received cards and gifts from all over.

I can feel this photo in my bones. Being so tired from what life is throwing at you. Yet you still show up every day hoping for something more.
I have learned a tremendous amount of patience and have been humbled in the best ways possible in the last 7 years. Stepping into mom hats I never would have chosen but I am changed forever by the complete randomness of beautiful people I have met along the way.
Life is weird. Life is scary. Life is always happening around you.
I just wanted to say hi to all the new friends who have started following Team Freddie.

🀟🏻

I started this page in January of 2019 after Freddie was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic Leukemia PHL like chromosome. He was 2.5 years old.
Freddie has Down syndrome.
And autism.
And adrenal insufficiency from steroid treatment during chemo.
He has a primary immune difficency. Which he may have had prior to cancer but we wouldn't have known because we hadn't tested him. We didn't have a reason.
He has dealt with a lot of hospitalizations due to pneumonia.
He is medically complex.

AND ⭐⭐⭐
He is amazing.
Funny.
Silly.
Gives the best hugs. And high fives.
He's smart. He's mischievous.
He has taught me the most important lessons in empathy and human equality.

So, here I am, still sharing Freddie 7 years later.
He keeps teaching.
I'll keep sharing.

Today started off with about 3 hours of sleep. Early Immunology appointment. Dropped off at camp late. Then picked up early because the air wasn't working at the school. Today was hot. Appointment went well though! ❀️

Editing to add that no snakes were harmed in this video. It's something to do with the length and how he can "whip" it.

He always looks like a little old man in his rocking chair. ❀️ 😁πŸ₯°
