Campbells Creek Cares was formed August 17, 2022 in wake of devastating floods to our community. Emergency struck and the community needed guidance on where to turn. A few folks joined forces and CCC was born to help the people of Campbells Creek. Through our CARES motto: Community, Action, Resources, Education, and Service, we strive to help the community and people to grow and develop into a healthy, happy community welcoming of all who wish to live and grow here with us.

The National Weather Service is predicting extreme heat today, July 16, 2024 in Kanawha County and across the state. Heat index could reach 101 degrees. Isolated to scattered severe storms with damaging winds are possible.

Remember to stay hydrated and limit time outdoors. Take advantage of cooling centers around the County today. Check on neighbors and friends.

From the National Weather Service: Severe thunderstorms are expected on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Damaging winds and tornados are the primary hazards. In addition, heavy rains could lead to localized instances of flooding or strong rises along rivers, creeks and streams Thursday into Thursday night. Expect strong storms by afternoon.

Be cautious if you travel. Secure outdoor items. Be prepared for potential power outages by charging your cell phones, taking other precautions.
