Sons of the South. Robert T. Dillon (Sr.) and John Julian Dillon, Patrick County, Virginia, 1940. My father served in the Marine Corps and came home. My uncle Julian served in the Army and did not. KIA Germany, 1945. Remembering a man I never knew this Memorial Day.

BREAKING NEWS! South Carolina governor signs Heritage Act into law, giving monuments and memorials there the most comprehensive protection in the country! This makes it not only illegal to remove monuments, but even prevents ANY kind of signage to be added to existing memorials without approval by the full legislature!

Kudos to our friends in the American Heritage Association, SC Division SCV and UDC, and other supporting heritage groups who worked so hard to make this happen! God bless the men of the Palmetto state!

Our Confederate Heroes are etched in stone on Stone Mountain in Georgia. It is absolutely deplorable that the Stone Mountain Association has refused to clean the monument in years!
