Geauga County SKYWARN

Geauga County SKYWARN SKYWARN is a weather spotting program through the National Weather Service that provides training to citizens on how to spot & report severe weather.

SKYWARN Spotters relay severe weather reports to the National Weather Service via amateur radio, telephone & the internet so that meteorologists can better warn the public during severe weather events to save lives. Geauga County SKYWARN is part of District 5 which also includes the counties of Ashtabula, Lake, Mahoning, Portage & Trumbull.

General information

Practice Nets are conducted on the third Friday of each month, from April to October at 8:00pm. Nets are held on 146.94 (-) PL 110.9. Our backup repeater is on 146.85 (-) PL 110.9. All licensed amateur radio operators are welcome to check in! 2018 Practice Net Dates: April 20th May 18th June 15th July 20th August 17th September 21st October 19th
