Dear Troop 2 Family:

It has been an honor, privilege and pleasure to be your Scoutmaster. As of today, September 11, 2026, Jason Murphy has taken on that role. I wish him the best and will try to help him anyway I can. I ask you all to do the same - to do your best.

In order to manage your expectations, I am not going away completely. You will still get annoying, insistent, cajoling missives from me from time to time, in between equally annoying intervals of radio silence. As an example, I 'own' the job of taking down the 2500 flags we planted so beautifully on the Gedney Lawn, so I will be asking for volunteers (probably next Wednesday) to remove them. I will join the Troop on some camping trips as long as I am welcome, and service projects as well. So I'm not Scoutmaster, but I'm not gone, I'll do my best to help AND stay out of the way of the new leadership.

For the scouts,

TK
