🌿 Today is World Environment Day.

Environmental conservation is about more than protecting landscapes. It’s about preserving the ecosystems that sustain wildlife, strengthen communities, and connect us to the natural world.

At Milleyha Wetland in Hatay, hundreds of bird species rely on this unique coastal habitat during their migration journeys. The wetland also provides refuge for sea turtles and countless other forms of wildlife, making it one of Türkiye’s most important biodiversity hotspots.

Through our support of local conservation efforts, Bridge to Türkiye Fund is proud to help protect and preserve this remarkable ecosystem for future generations.

This World Environment Day, we celebrate the dedicated individuals and organizations working to safeguard the natural spaces that make life possible.

Because of your support, students across Türkiye are gaining access to books, sports equipment, musical instruments, cognitive learning tools, and educational resources. ❤️

Through our Children’s Day Campaign, you helped provide resources to 6 schools across 5 cities, reaching 1,600+ students.

📚 With support from BTF, the Pusulam Kitap initiative distributed books to schools across Türkiye during May 19 celebrations, encouraging reading and creativity through student activities and a drawing contest.

🎬 Thank you to the Minnesota community for another meaningful Cinema4aCause gathering in support of educational opportunity in Türkiye.

🎓 As part of the “One Wish Is Not Enough” initiative, May 19 youth gatherings brought together thousands of students and future educators across Türkiye through community events and educational book distribution.

🏃 Through TACAWA’s inaugural Seattle Atatürk Unity Run, community support helped provide sports equipment and activities for students at four schools in Türkiye through BTF’s 4Kids program.

Every event, partnership, and community effort shared here helps expand opportunity for children and youth across Türkiye. Thank you for being part of the BTF community.

Created by Turkish-American student athlete Teo Güngör, Tables for Hope brought together players, families, and supporters of all ages and skill levels in support of a meaningful cause.

Proceeds from the tournament will help provide tennis tables and equipment to underserved school schools in Türkiye, expanding access to a sport that builds discipline, confidence, and community.

As we celebrate May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, , Tables for Hope is a powerful reminder of what young people can accomplish when they turn passion into action.

This , we’re honored to share Abdullah’s story with permission from his family.

After losing his left leg in the February 2023 earthquakes in Türkiye, Abdullah faced a long journey of recovery. Through ongoing prosthetic support, rehabilitation, and the care of our local partner Cerebral Palsy Turkiye, he is rediscovering confidence, independence, and the joy of simply being a child.

Abdullah’s story is just one of many. By supporting Cerebral Palsy Türkiye and BTF’s CATE (Child Amputees of Türkiye Earthquakes) program, you help children affected by the earthquakes access the prosthetic care, rehabilitation, and long-term support they need to move forward.

This Disability Awareness Week, help us turn awareness into action. Donate to support both Cerebral Palsy Türkiye or CATE, and help children like Abdullah build brighter, more independent futures.
