If you're a Christian you may remember that time you got on your knees and prayed to God because you believed in Him in that moment. The moment we make Jesus the Lord of our lives we go through a second birth and we are a new creation. This is the essence of regeneration and is required of salvation.

God created us. He intentionally made us who we are and placed us in the time we are for a reason. All of us are made in God's image which means every person has inherent dignity and worth. The biggest problem we have as people is that our disobedient nature breaks our relationship with God and thus we need Jesus in order to have that relationship restored.

The Holy Spirit is confusing isn't it? He can be the person of the trinity we often forget or just get so mixed up about. It is important to know that the Holy Spirit is a person of God; He is not an "it" or some ethereal magic or substance. Some of the biggest work the Holy Spirit does in our lives is help us understand God's Word and show us when we disobey God. Have you previously done something wrong without feeling it was wrong, gave your life to Jesus, and now that feels wrong? The Holy Spirit is behind that work in you helping you understand God's law and drawing you to obedience.

The second person of the Trinity is God the Son, otherwise known as Jesus. As Christians we believe that Jesus is God. He is not a separate being who was just "good" and could become God and He is not just a "good teacher". He is God Himself and was the only One who can forgive us of our sins. Understanding who Jesus is and what He did is a core piece of theology for Christians and a deviation of this understanding can change the entire Gospel message.
