PRAYER NETWORK † Spirit & Life is an active apostolate of listening and intercessory prayer, a prayer network in the heart of the world.
We pray for the Conversion and for the Unity of Families.
Our mission is the intercessory prayer.
We pray for current perspectives of the Church, for the intentions of the Pope.
We pray for:
1. the misery of the world: the sick, the infirm, those who are in prison,
2. joys and sorrows: those who rejoice, those who suffer, those who hide their pain, those who do not sing, those who are in solitude, in mourning, in fear and despair,
3. The ages of life: those born, for children, young people, for those who marry, for the elderly, for those who die
4. human tasks: for those who think, for those who advance science, for those who influence the public, for those who govern, for those who collaborate in progress, for those who seek God, for those who are tempted, for those who do not believe, for those who live far from God, for those who live near the Lord without knowing it,
5. Family community and Christian community: for families, for parents, for pastors of the Church.
We collaborate as witnesses in spreading to the world the good news of salvation.
The Letter to the Hebrews tells us that because Jesus' priesthood is eternal, "Therefore, he is always able to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to make intercession for them." (7:25).
Praying on behalf of other people— is powerful.
We encourage Christians to participate in Christ's intercession by praying for the sick, the suffering, the needs...
Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.(But) even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you." (John 11:21-22)
Since we have been made partakers in Jesus' victory over sin and death (1 John 4:4), we have the authority as sons and daughters of God to pray for others, pushing back the darkness of sin and oppression. In prayer, we have weapons that has divine power to destroy strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).
The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful. (James 5:15-16)
In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings. (Romans 8:26-27)
And the one who searches hearts knows what is the intention of the Spirit, because it intercedes for the holy ones according to God's will.
