⚾ PARENTS — IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE REMINDER ⚾
Parents, please make sure you notify your child’s coach if your child will not be attending a practice or game. Even a quick message ahead of time makes a huge difference.
We completely understand that sickness happens, vacations are planned, and unexpected things come up. We are not asking anyone to bring a sick child to practices or games.
However, today we had multiple teams with only 2–3 players show up. When several players are absent without notice, it makes it very difficult for the coaches and the children who are there.
Being part of a team is about more than just playing baseball. ❤️ It gives our kids the opportunity to learn teamwork, build friendships, get to know their teammates, and feel like they are truly part of their team. When attendance is very low, it takes away from that experience for everyone.
If we know ahead of time that several players will be absent, we can work together to keep our teams from being short-handed.
📞 NEW FILL-IN CALL LIST
I am going to create a fill-in call list for parents who would be willing to let their child fill in for another team when they are short on players. This will give other kids an opportunity to get some extra playing time while helping another team have enough players for their game.
If you would like your child added to the fill-in list, please text me at 812-430-1985 with your child’s name and team.
Being on the list does not mean you are required to fill in every time. I will simply reach out when a team needs additional players, and you can let me know if your child is available.
