Access to great teaching should never depend on where you live. 🙏🎶

Our Miraj Mini Shibir brought students together in an intimate setting to learn directly from Ustadji, with the time and space to listen, practise, and deepen their understanding of the music.

Through initiatives like these, SPK Academy () is working to make authentic *taalim* accessible beyond India’s major musical centres, bringing opportunities to learn from Ustadji to smaller towns and communities across the country.

Because every student deserves the opportunity to learn from a great Guru, wherever their journey begins.

Want to bring Ustadji to your town? Get in touch with us! 🙏

Conversations with Ustadji | Part 3 🎶

There was a time when learning music meant carrying every note in your memory.

Before recordings and written notes became part of the learning process, there was only one option: listen, remember, and play.

Ustadji learned through this traditional oral approach. Today, he gives his students the freedom to record and take notes, recognizing that students learn at different speeds and may need more time to absorb the amount of material covered in a lesson.

The tradition remains. The way it is passed on can evolve.

When the youngest voice in the room has Ustadji’s full attention. 😊🎶

There’s something special about watching a young student find their voice in music—and even more special when they have a Guru who listens with patience, encouragement, and genuine joy.

Every question matters. Every note is a beginning. ✨
