TODAY!!! JOIN US AT CITY HALL! WE NEED YOUR INPUT!!

The Urbana Housing Needs Study is holding an Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. on August 27, 2026, in the City of Urbana Council Chambers.

The study started in December 2025. The City of Urbana held a survey in spring 2026 for community residents and received 325 responses. A separate survey for landlords was held and the City received 134 responses. Additionally, staff completed a series of informational interviews with local institutions working in housing in the community, from nonprofits to local realtors to other governmental entities. This information gathering was geared towards understanding the needs of Urbana residents and the pain points of navigating the local housing market.

Parking is available on the north side of Urbana City Hall.
