Bags #17 & #18 were dropped off this morning! 🎉 This also means we’ve now had the honor of supporting all 12 of the Unit 4 elementary schools. 💜 Thank you, social workers, for the care you show your students and their families. So happy we get to be a small part of that! 💜

Today was one of those days where I felt especially fortunate to get to do this work alongside one of my dearest friends. Packed up some bags, carpooled over to CECC, joined in with the “bubble tunnel” to welcome the Pre-K kiddos, and then dropped off a couple more bags at another school. And honestly, the bubble tunnel was definitely the highlight 😂 But I also just loved having that time with Katie…catching up in the car, or sitting quietly together, just feeling completely content. There’s something pretty special about getting to do meaningful work with someone you genuinely enjoy and who makes the day more fun and so much more bright! 💜 -T

Another productive day! I had an hour to burn before my dentist appointment, so I got to work alongside Katie (who had already been working hard before I got there). She worked on inventory while I pulled clothes for Champaign Early Childhood! 375 items being delivered to them tomorrow! ☺️ Thank you to Alison Dupre for getting us connected with those awesome Illinois Youth Run tshirts…those are the perfect shirts for social workers and teachers to have on hand for accidents!! 💜💜💜

Mondays are my dedicated Clothes for Kids days, and today has been a productive one!

💜 Packed up our FIRST clothing bag for the 26-27 school year
💜 Ran to the store to buy underwear for that bag
💜 Delivered the clothing bag to the school
💜 Started checking in more donations
💜 Took a lunch break and picked up donations - one bag from a community member who supported us SO much the last year; the other 2 bags from our biggest community supporter
💜 Social media update then back to checking in clothes

A BIG pick up on Monday from one of our biggest supporters, and I needed some extra muscles to get it all in 😉💜 So grateful for our community who always shows up for us. It’s going to be a GREAT school year! 💜💜💜 -T
