This week we watched Palestinians starve to death, as months worth of food rots at the border. Soon we will start seeing groups of people collapsing from hunger. People in Gaza have reached phase 5 malnutrition, causing irreparable health impacts. The cruelty of watching this happen while aid literally sits minutes away is not lost on anyone. It is easy to feel hopeless in the face of this cruelty.
As we bear witness to these atrocities, we hope you joined us in action and community. On Monday, CU for Palestine organized an emergency rally. On Tuesday, CU MAC and friends were on the streets again at busy intersections waving a banner, chanting, and passing out BDS information. We had so many positive reactions we lost track when we tried to count them.
đź“–This Friday, we invite you to join us in a collective reading of We Are Not Numbers at 6-6:45 pm at the . We will also work on writing letters to the editor.
ℹ️ Also, this weekend we hope you will join us in “Flyering Your Neighborhood” for the ❌ No Appetite for Apartheid ❌ campaign. Grab a buddy and some flyers and spend a little time over the weekend talking to your neighbors and sharing information about boycotting complicit companies.
Pick up flyers and maps at our “We Are Not Numbers” Event on Fridays 6-6:45pm, at the Channing Murray, and hit the streets at the best time for you.
If you can’t make it on Friday and want to flyer, DM us and we will make sure you get materials and mark off your neighborhood on the map. Also, if you want a buddy for flyering, let us know and we can pair you with someone!
Did you catch us on the streets on Monday or Tuesday?
