Subject: Community Announcement – SACOG Mobility Zone Project Grant

Dear Community,
I wanted to share some exciting news!

Brownsville and Linda/Olivehurst have been selected as finalists for the SACOG Mobility Zone Project Grant, through Camptonville Community Partnership (CCP) and Foothill Resource Center’s (FRC) Mountain Transit program.

If Brownsville is awarded the grant over Linda/Olivehurst, it could bring:
* New vehicles for Mountain Transit (now part of FRC)
* Bike and walking trails
* Additional mobility improvements based on community needs

What’s Next?
We need to demonstrate that Brownsville and the Yuba Foothills truly need these upgrades. This is our opportunity to prove that improved mobility can enhance our daily lives!

or pop-up events happening throughout the foothills this month (this flyer highlights a few). Cathy, Lora, and Cheyenne will be leading them, gathering data to submit for consideration. February is the key month to collect input! And jumpstarts a year long project. - you will see a lot from us!
This is a multi-step process, and we’ll know by January 2026 whether Brownsville is awarded the grant or if it will go to Linda/Olivehurst.
