Ohio Professional Horsemen's Association OPHA is dedicated to serving the needs of professional horsemen in their area. It has over 430 membe Gabor Francia-Kiss, Laddie F.

In 1980 a group of trainers and riders from northeast Ohio founded the Ohio Professional Horsemen’s Association, dedicated to serving the needs of professional horsemen in their area. Andahazy, Hugh Kincannon, Arsia Ardalan, and Howard Lewis are among the professionals instrumental in establishing the association. Today the OPHA has more than 430 members consisting of professionals, amateurs, and

juniors. The association puts on two triple point horse shows, one in the spring and one in the fall, and also sanctions more than 85 other shows in Ohio and the surrounding states. Members competing in these shows can earn points toward year-end awards in 34 different divisions, which are presented at the annual fall banquet. The association also publishes two issues of the OPHA News Magazine every year. The OPHA is proud to support the charity Horses for Heroes at Fieldstone Farm, Petie the Pony at Victory Gallop, Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center and the Chagrin Valley PHA Horse Show Endowment Fund
