Are you ready to fall in love again?
Introducing the REACH Couples Retreat. 💟

Healing begins at home.

This November, ACSMH is creating a space for couples to step away from the noise and intentionally turn toward each other.

Whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or have been together for years, you don’t have to wait until your relationship is struggling to invest in it.

The REACH Couples Retreat is a private digital experience designed to help couples slow down, reflect, communicate, reconnect, and grow together, and all from the comfort of their own space.

And the experience goes beyond the screen.

Each registration includes a physical relationship journal and curated retreat box designed to accompany you through the weekend and give you something meaningful to return to afterward.

November 13–15, 2026
Digital. Private. Intentional.

Registration is now open.

Part 2 because we had more to unpack. 💟

Communicate before your auntie gets both sides. Ask the question before you build the whole storyline. Apologize without adding “but you also…” and maybe don’t make three cousins translate what you meant.

Family, relationships, boundaries, conflict are all a little less chaotic when we actually say what we mean.

Healing enough that peace stops feeling suspicious? Extremely chic.

Kinda chic to heal without making it weird. 🤍

Set the boundary. Go to therapy. Drink the chai. Leave the function before the parking lot debrief turns into a full psychological intake.

Mental health can be serious without every conversation about it feeling heavy. Sometimes healing looks like better communication, asking for help, laughing at the things we all recognize, and choosing not to pass the same patterns forward.

Breaking generational cycles and still showing up for dinner? Very chic. Laughing and releasing? the chicest.

Someone has to help make the first step possible. Could it be you? 🕊️

ACSMH is seeking volunteers to join our esteemed group of Reshas — trained Shlama Facilitators for Resha d’Rishane.

A Resha helps create a respectful, structured space for difficult conversations. Their role is not to decide who is right or wrong, but to support communication, understanding, and the possibility of Shlama.

We welcome individuals with backgrounds in mental health, social work, psychology, law, education, spiritual care, and related fields. Selected volunteers will receive ACSMH program-specific training.

We asked our community what hurts. We listened.

ACSMH’s Mental Health Needs Survey highlighted stigma, fear of judgment, gossip, lack of familial trust, generational trauma, bullying, and community division as concerns within our community.

Research shaped what came next.

Resha d’Rishane is one part of that response. 🕊️

Through our REACH mission—Research, Education, Awareness, Collaboration & Healing—we are working to turn what our community tells us into meaningful initiatives built for our community.

We listened and we continue to build.

Peace can’t be forced. 🕊️

Resha d’Rishane gives you the opportunity to take the first step, but the other person always has the choice to say yes or no.

Sometimes, taking that step matters even when you don’t know where it will lead.

Seek Shlama. Choose peace.

Some ideas begin with a question:

“What would happen if someone finally helped us have the conversations we’ve been avoiding?”

In this message, ACSMH Founder & Director Christina Salem introduces Resha d’Rishane — The Head of Heads, an initiative created to give members of our Assyrian, Chaldean, Syriac community a structured and culturally informed way to seek Shlama — peace.

We know reconciliation is complicated.

Sometimes there are years of silence.
Sometimes there is hurt on both sides.
Sometimes both people want peace, but neither knows how to take the first step.

Resha d’Rishane was created for that space in between.

It does not promise reconciliation, and it does not force forgiveness. It creates an opportunity for two people—when both willingly consent—to begin a conversation.

Healing our community means addressing the relationships, divisions, and unresolved hurt we carry with us, along with mental health.

🕊️ Someone has to take the first step toward Shlama.

You want to make peace with someone… but you don’t know if they’re ready.

How do you reach out without reopening the wound?
Without putting yourself in a vulnerable position?
Without knowing whether they’re willing to have the conversation?

That’s where Resha d’Rishane begins. 🕊️

Through ACSMH’s Resha d’Rishane — The Head of Heads, you can take the first step toward Shlama privately.

You submit an inquiry.
ACSMH reviews it.
If appropriate, the other person receives a neutral invitation to explore Shlama.

Your identity is not revealed unless both people consent to moving forward.

And if they say yes? A facilitated conversation can begin.

Not to decide who was right.
Not to force an apology.
Not to pressure anyone into forgiveness.

But to create an opportunity for communication, understanding, closure, and possible reconciliation.

And if the other person isn’t ready? Their decision is respected.

It’s okay to start making peace even without knowing exactly what to say.

Sometimes it begins with simply asking:

Are you willing to talk?

Someone has to take the first step.
Could it be you?

🕊️ Seek Shlama.

Some wounds in our community have lived in silence for too long.

Between family members. Friends. Organizations. Generations.

Sometimes the distance began with one disagreement. Sometimes so much time has passed that no one remembers how to take the first step.

Today, ACSMH is introducing Resha d’Rishane — “The Head of Heads,” a new initiative rooted in Shlama: peace. 🕊️

Resha d’Rishane creates a private, culturally informed pathway for members of the Assyrian, Chaldean, Syriac community who want to explore reconciliation, understanding, or closure.

You can take the first step privately. If appropriate, ACSMH can extend a neutral Shlama invitation to the other person without immediately revealing your identity.

There is no forced connection. No obligation. No pressure. Both people must choose to move forward.

Maybe the outcome is reconciliation.
Maybe it is closure.
Maybe it is finally being heard.

Whatever Shlama looks like, healing has to start somewhere.

If there is someone you have been carrying on your heart, the first step is now available.

🕊️ Seek Shlama. Take the first step.
