The West Alabama Food Bank still has slots available for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program. This is a supplemental grocery program for eligible individuals age 60 and older who live in Lamar, Fayette, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Bibb, Greene, Hale, and Sumter counties in Alabama. If you would like to sign up, please call the West Alabama Food Bank at (205) 333-5353.

📚 You’re Invited to Our Back to School Bash! 🍧🎉

West Blocton First Baptist Church and Lowerytown Baptist Church are excited to invite our community to a fun-filled afternoon as we help families get ready for a new school year!

Children must be present to receive backpacks and clothing.

Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here your whole life, we’d love to welcome your family. Come enjoy an afternoon of fellowship, fun, and support as we celebrate the start of a new school year together.

Give your child the chance to build confidence, make new friends, and learn essential life skills at Bibb County 4-H’s 4M Summer Camp! 🍽️💵📚🤝

Through hands-on activities, campers will explore Math, Meals, Money, and Manners in a fun, interactive environment designed just for ages 10–12.
