Good Afternoon, CRBLT Members, Supporters, Volunteers, and Community,

We want to inform you that there will be a protest taking place to oppose the lifted moratorium on warehouses along the Chehalis River in Centralia.

These warehouses threaten the clean water, salmon habitat, flood protection, space for wildlife, and more, to the River Basin that we protect. Two of our protected parcels have the potential to be impacted by this decision.

The protest is on Saturday, August 22nd from 1-3pm at George Washington Park in Centralia.

This Sunday August 2nd, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, we'll be hosting Ryan Johnson from Firecraft Northwest, a professional wildlife track and sign naturalist to take a group along the trails at Discovery Trail to learn about the animals that call this amazing riverside space home. Announcement!
Our Celebration Picnic is Moving to September!

After hearing from our community, we're moving our Celebration Picnic from July to September — giving everyone more room to soak up summer first, and giving us a beautiful early-fall gathering along the Chehalis River Discovery Trail instead.

We'll share the exact date right after our board meeting next week, so keep an eye on your inbox.

Here's what's staying the same: a guided walk with naturalists and board members, great company, light picnic fare, and an afternoon spent celebrating the beauty of the Basin — just with cooler temps and golden September light.

Thank you for your flexibility and your continued support of the Land Trust. We can't wait to celebrate with you this fall.

Greetings to our Chehalis Basin Land Trust Community!

We cordially invite you to our annual members meeting at our office in Centralia
(612 S Tower Ave) from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday April 19, 2026.

In this meeting, we'll socialize, share details on current events, organization-wide updates, and hear from our guest speaker Katy Wellington. We'll also be serving up beverages and appetizers.

Katy is a program manager, environmental educator, and climate & community advocate who will be sharing about her experience empowering youth climate action through community-based learning.

This meeting is open to our members, volunteers, and the community who wish to learn more and get involved in our conservation and stewardship efforts!
