Fall 2026 is shaping up beautifully! πŸ‚ + A Sneak Peek at Classes!

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹

We are so incredibly encouraged by the response to our Fall 2026 registration! It has been wonderful seeing so many returning families locking in their spots, and we are thrilled to welcome the new families who have already registered to join our community.

Because we keep our class sizes capped to ensure a great hands-on experience, seats are actively filling up! If you are planning to join us for our Thursday classes this fall, please don't wait until the last minute to secure your spot.

πŸ”¬ A Quick Sneak Peek at Thursdays!
One of the reasons we ask our families to commit to our 8-week schedule is so our kids can dive deep into collaborative projects without interruption. When your child is building a bridge in science, practicing a group skit, or working through a living math challenge, they get to do it with the same consistent group of friends from start to finish.

From our high schoolers tackling leadership skills all the way down to our dedicated early childhood classes for younger siblings, Thursdays are going to be packed with purposeful, hands-on learning!

πŸ—“οΈ SAVE THE DATE: Vision & Community Night!
Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 16 at 6pm! We will be hosting our Vision & Community Night. This is a vital evening for all enrolled and prospective families to gather, hear the vision for the semester, understand how our co-op operates, and connect with other parents.

(Please note: Our hard cutoff for Fall Class Pre-Registration is the very next day, July 17. Final class caps will be locked in at that time!)

Ready to grab your seats?

Head to PCHKY.ORG to review our guidelines and grab your family membership.

Fill out the class pre-registration at PCHKY.ORG/FALL2026 and pay the $20 fee to reserve your students' spots.

We can't wait to see this amazing group come together! Let us know below if you have any questions! πŸ’›

When thinking about how to best prepare students for the future, it is striking how perfectly Plato described the exact educational crisis we see today. He divided the human condition into three distinct parts: the head, the chest, and the belly. This ancient framework is the absolute best blueprint for a genuine whole-child approach.

Our culture indulges the belly and completely starves the chest. And while we claim to focus on the head, we often just cram it with trivial data rather than actually teaching it how to reason. C.S. Lewis saw the consequences of this imbalance clearly when he wrote: "We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst."

If we want to raise capable, grounded individuals, we have to foster the harmony of all three.

The Head: Intellect and Reason

A sharp mind should be non-negotiable, but true intellect goes far beyond rote memorization. Education has to prioritize critical thinking and rigorous problem solving. Students need the cognitive resilience to analyze the world and reject intellectual laziness. But a brilliant mind without a moral compass is inherently dangerous.

The Chest: Character and Spirit

The chest stands as the mediator between cold logic and raw desire. This is exactly where virtue and honor are forged. A true education doesn't just teach a child facts. It trains them to actually know and love what is good. It builds the moral courage required to act with integrity when no one is watching.

The Belly: Appetite and Impulse

Unchecked desires lead to ruin. The appetites of the belly must be governed by the reason of the head and the virtue of the chest. This requires the deliberate, daily practice of self-control. We have to guide students to master their immediate impulses, delay gratification, and develop the internal discipline to pursue long-term purpose over fleeting comfort.

Education is not the mere transmission of data. It is the formation of a whole human being. When we align the head, the chest, and the belly, we do so much more than teach. We build individuals equipped to navigate the world with wisdom, resilience, and unshakeable character.

Fall 2026 Registration is Open: Join Our Shared Adventure!

Hard to believe it, but we're already wrapping up our planning for the fall! If you’ve been thinking about joining our co-op, or if you’re a returning family, now is the time to let us know if you want to attend fall classes so we can get our final numbers together.

For those who are new, we are a thriving community of over 50 families who truly believe in working together to make homeschooling a shared adventure. Our mission is all about parental involvement and mutual support. We pool our talents to give our kids a great environment to build character, make lasting friends, and spark their curiosity. We focus on the "whole child" rather than treating education like a box-checking exercise.

The Heart of Our Co-op (And How We Work)
Because we are fully volunteer-driven, our community thrives on shared responsibility and consistency. To keep our classes amazing and ensure no single parent carries the load, we operate with a few core commitments:

Active Homeschoolers: To ensure our program is geared toward active homeschooling, we ask that your oldest participating child be Kindergarten-ready or older. But don't worry about the littles, younger siblings do not just tag along; we have engaging, dedicated classes specifically designed for them!

The 8-Week Commitment: Our Thursday classes run for a focused, hands-on 8 weeks. We ask families to commit to being fully present, limiting pre-planned absences so that when your child builds a project with a partner, that partner is actually there the next week.

Shared Values: We operate under a Statement of Faith that unifies our teaching, ensures a supportive environment, and guides our community.

What Our Classes Include
When you join us on Thursdays, our classes focus on collaborative learning that complements what you’re already doing at home:

Interactive Science & Math Enrichment: Lots of living math concepts and hands-on experiments.

History, Creative Arts, & Performance

Life Skills & Leadership: Public speaking, teamwork, and practical skills.

Early Childhood Classes: Structured, fun, and age-appropriate learning for the younger siblings of our K-ready students.

Fall Field Trips: Something for Everyone!
We love learning outside the classroom, and our trips are intentionally planned to keep our older students challenged, our littles engaged, and give parents and grandparents a great chance to connect.

Upcoming highlights include:

πŸŽοΈπŸ›©οΈ The National Corvette Museum & Aviation Museum in Bowling Green (Incredible engineering and history for kids and adults alike!)

🎩 Abraham Lincoln Birthplace (A beautiful walk through history.)

🩰 The Nutcracker (A gorgeous, magical holiday tradition.)

How to Secure Your Seats
We will be setting our final class caps right after pre-registration closes on July 17, so be sure to secure your spots early!

Here's what you need to do:

1. Go to PCHKY.ORG to review our guidelines and join (family membership is $60 for the year).

2. Complete the class pre-registration form at PCHKY.ORG/FALL2026 (you will pay the $20 per family fee to save your seats in classes).

Our class days are the foundation, but the magic happens in these moments - the collective curiosity and the shared discoveries that happen when we all lean in.

We aren't just a co-op; we’re a community of families growing together. On July 16th, we want to dream bigger about what that looks like for next year. Whether it's new clubs or new traditions, we want to co-create that future with you.

What a fun day to be a part of Paradise Christian Homeschoolers! πŸ“šβž‘οΈπŸ›³οΈ We were able to put the textbooks down for the day and take an unforgettable field trip to the Ark Encounter! 🌎✨

Everyone explored in amazement as we learned about Noah’s incredible faith and obedience to God. What an amazing reminder of what can happen when we step out in faith. ❀️

In many ways, each of our families has taken a step of faith by beginning the homeschooling journey as well. It has been such a blessing to watch those steps lead us to where we are today β€” growing not only in numbers, but in friendship, fellowship, and true community. 🀝🏑

We are so thankful for the memories made together and for the opportunity to walk this journey side by side. πŸ’›

It’s never too late to take that step yourself and join this growing community!

You might feel at home here if…

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ You want your kids to be part of something consistent, not just occasional events

πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ You are willing to step in, help, and be part of what your children are building

πŸ“… You value showing up regularly and being part of a steady rhythm

πŸ“š You appreciate structure, but also want your kids to have choice in their classes

🀝 You are looking for real community, where families know each other and relationships grow over time

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ You like the idea of your kids having opportunities for classes, field trips, sports, and time together throughout the year

We are building something that works because families participate, contribute, and invest in it together.

It is simple, but it is intentional.

And over time, it becomes something really meaningful.

Looking for a glimpse into what our community adventures look like? This past week, we traded the "classroom" for the rolling hills of the Kentucky Horse Park, and it was an absolute blast!

These trips are about so much more than just a day out. They are a chance for our kids to:

Build Confidence: There’s nothing like the sense of accomplishment that comes from mastering a trail ride. πŸ’ͺ

Connect with Friends: Learning is always better when you’re doing it alongside a great group of peers. πŸ‘«

Experience History: We got to dive deep into Kentucky’s equestrian heritage right where it happens. πŸ›οΈ

Develop Real-World Skills: From animal husbandry to navigating the trails, these are lessons that stick. 🌳

We love prioritizing nature-based education and hands-on experiences like this. If you want to join us for our upcoming adventures, registration for our community officially opens this June! πŸ“…

Participation in our group field trips is exclusive to members, so keep an eye on this page for more information as we get closer to June. If you have questions in the meantime, feel free to send us a message! πŸ“² πŸŒŸπŸ‘

One of the best parts of our community rhythm isn't just the classes - it's knowing that we aren't doing this alone. Whether we are meeting for a park day, heading out on a field trip, or just checking in on each other mid-week, the connection goes far beyond the classroom.

As we head into the weekend, we’re curious: What was the highlight of your week? Did you hit a breakthrough in a difficult subject? Find a new favorite local trail? Or maybe just finally finished that one stack of laundry?

Share your "win" in the comments! πŸ‘‡
