Friends of Community-Cats Rescue Our mission is to rescue cats & kittens from abuse, neglect & unfortunate death & to promote TNR. We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats.

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill s

tate. We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals. We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock. Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.

* A Little Pasta with a BIG Personality! *

If you’re looking for a kitten who will keep you smiling, Penne is your girl! This adorable torbie is a bundle of kitten energy, curiosity, and pure affection. She’s friendly, outgoing, social, and wonderfully talkative—and she’s always ready for her next adventure (or a spontaneous zoomie around the house! 💨😹).

Penne loves playing with absolutely anything she can get her paws on, but rattle mice and springs are definite favorites. She especially enjoys hanging out with her sister, Tortellini, and the two make an adorable duo. When playtime is over, Penne is more than happy to curl up with her humans. She’s a total purring machine who loves snuggles, treats, wet food, and even investigating whatever you happen to be having for dinner! 😻🍗

Penne and her sister arrived at a local shelter as strays and were never claimed. They were being overlooked, so we knew these sweet girls deserved a chance to shine—and now Penne is ready to find her forever family! She would love a home where she can be thoroughly spoiled, showered with love and attention, and included in all the fun. 🏡❤️

Get ready to fall in love with a tiny torbie who is equal parts sweet, silly, and full of sass! 💕 Tortellini is a friendly, outgoing, and energetic girl who loves being part of the action. She’s curious about absolutely everything and will happily follow her humans around the house, making sure she doesn’t miss a thing! 👀🐾

This playful girl has never met a toy she didn’t like! 🧶🎾 She loves to zoom, pounce, explore, and get into a little harmless mischief. Posie loves snuggling beside you on the couch or curling up with you in bed, and she’s always ready for a little attention and affection. Posie originally arrived at a local shelter as a stray mama with her kittens. Astrid is a beautiful girl with a heart full of love and a serious talent for making biscuits, purring, and stealing hearts! 🥰 This affectionate, playful, and curious girl absolutely adores being with her people. Give her a lap to curl up in, some attention to soak up, and she’ll be one very happy kitty!

Astrid is a total cuddlebug who loves nothing more than snuggling up with her favorite humans. 💗 She’s also a playful girl who enjoys her toys, catnip, and Churu treats (because every princess deserves her snacks! 👑). And did we mention she’s a purring machine? She’s also wonderfully talkative and will happily have little conversations with you throughout the day. 😻

Astrid came to us after being found living in a motel with several other cats when their owner was no longer able to care for them. The shelter environment was overwhelming for her, but once she came into our rescue, she had the chance to relax, feel safe, and show us who she really is—and she is thriving! 🥹✨ She may be a little shy at adoption events or while staying at the adoption center, but don’t let that fool you. At home, Astrid is a social, loving girl who truly enjoys being with her people.

💔 TACO BELL CAT STILL NEEDS US. 💔

Earlier today, we asked for help for our sweet 15-year-old, Taco Bell Cat. We have an update—and unfortunately, we still need your help.

Taco Bell Cat went to Angel Paws Veterinary Services today after we noticed drainage from her eye and nose. We discovered that a severely infected canine tooth had caused an infection that traveled all the way into her sinuses.

The wonderful team at Angel Paws squeezed her into their schedule and removed not just that canine, but TWO additional teeth that needed to come out. ❤️

She is home now, recovering and resting, and we are so thankful she was able to get the care she needed.

But now we have the bill to cover.

Our goal is $600, and so far, we've received just $85. That means we still need to raise $515 to cover her exam, blood work, dental procedure, antibiotics, and pain medication.

And this isn't just another vet bill to us. This is Taco Bell Cat. ❤️

She spent 12 years as a community cat in a colony we cared for before finally deciding she could trust us. Last year, we discovered mammary tumors covering her abdomen. They turned out to be Mammary Comedocarcinoma, a deadly cancer. Since then, she's endured surgery, a drain for a painful abdominal fluid pocket, and an abdominal hernia repair.

She has been through so much.

And through it all, she has remained one of the sweetest, bravest little souls. 🥺

At 15 years old, she deserves to be comfortable. She deserves pain relief. She deserves to know that someone will always be there for her.

💔 TACO BELL CAT NEEDS US AGAIN. 💔

This 15 year old girl has been through SO much, and somehow, through it all, she remains one of the bravest, sweetest cats we know. ❤️

For 12 years, she lived as a community cat in one of the colonies we cared for. Last year, we discovered mammary tumors covering her abdomen. Thankfully, she decided it was time to trust us, came indoors, and we were able to have the tumors removed.

But the news was devastating. The tumors were Mammary Comedocarcinoma, a deadly form of cancer.

And that wasn't the end of her medical journey. She later needed a drain placed to remove a painful fluid pocket that developed in her abdomen, followed months later by surgery to repair an abdominal hernia.

Through it ALL, Taco Bell Cat has been brave. She has endured so much—and she is still the sweetest girl. 🥺❤️

Recently, we noticed drainage from her left eye and nostril. Given her history, we didn't want to take any chances, so we brought her to see the amazing team at Angel Paws Veterinary Services today.

We discovered that one of her canine teeth is causing a severe infection that has traveled all the way into her sinuses. The wonderful team at Angel Paws squeezed her into their schedule today and will be removing the tooth.

Now we need your help. 🙏 We know you all just helped us with Loki, but Taco Bell Cat needs our help too!

We need to raise at least $600 TODAY to cover Taco Bell Cat's exam, blood work, dental procedure, antibiotics, and pain medication.

After everything this little survivor has been through, we refuse to let a treatable infection become another battle she has to fight alone.

Two sisters. One unbreakable bond. One forever home. 💕

Aspen and Willow are bonded sisters who must be adopted together. Aspen is affectionate, gentle, playful, and happiest when she has her sister nearby.

💔 Loki Needs Us Now 💔

Do you all remember Loki? Our sweet boy has been through so much, and right now, he’s hurting. 😿

Loki is one of our permanent medical fosters. He’s 7 years old, FIV+, has eyelid agenesis and allergies—and despite everything he’s been through, he is one of the sweetest boys you could ever meet. ❤️ He takes his daily medications and supplements like a champ, and after losing a significant amount of weight back in February, we worked hard to get him healthy and back to a good weight.

But now, Loki’s eyes are causing him a tremendous amount of pain. Because of complications from his eyelid agenesis, along with his compromised immune system, his eyes have become increasingly problematic. He used to patiently let us put ointment in his eyes, but he has reached the point where he simply can't tolerate it anymore. 😢

After discussing his options, the recommendation is to remove both of Loki’s eyes. It’s heartbreaking to think about, but we know this surgery will give our boy something he desperately deserves: a life without constant eye pain. ❤️‍🩹

Loki is scheduled for surgery this Wednesday with our wonderful friends at Angel Paws Veterinary Services, and we desperately need your help. We need to raise at least $500 to help cover his surgery estimate, antibiotics, and pain medication.
