Hi, my name is Zane Matheson. I’m 14 years old, and I’m a mountain biker who loves pushing myself, learning new skills, and challenging my limits. This summer, I have the opportunity to go on my first mission trip to the Amazon region of Peru.
Our team will take supplies to families in river communities, share the hope of the gospel, work with children of all ages — including troubled teens — and serve in nursing homes with residents who are often forgotten. We’re also going with open hearts, ready to serve wherever God leads.
The Amazon River flows 443 miles through Peru, and to help fund my trip I’ve committed to ride a symbolic 10% of that distance: 44 miles.
👉 One mile for every ten miles of the Amazon in Peru.
I’m inviting friends, family, and supporters to partner with me through prayer and financial pledges toward my goal of raising $2,000. You can make a one-time donation or pledge an amount per mile (for example $1, $2, or $5 per mile).
Your support will help me:
•deliver needed supplies to remote communities
•encourage and care for students and troubled teens
•serve elderly residents who feel unseen
and share the love of Christ through service
If you’d like to give or want more details about the trip, please send me a message — I would love to share more. Thank you for helping me ride these 44 miles with purpose and for supporting me as I step out on my first mission trip.
