How many of you, have seen the new Walmart parking lot?

Ron and I periodically enjoy a quick Saturday morning breakfast from McDonalds, sitting in vehicle in the Walmart parking lot just “people watching”

Ron and I both took notice the parking lot was clean and we witnessed with our own eyes- believe it or not “5 people in a row put their grocery cart in in the provided spaces” and some walked a good distance to place carts in provided designated areas !!! Wow ! We could not believe it! But really it happened …..lol it’s not a tall tail ! this really happened! We celebrated our little towns progress with having an Americana coffee at Center Floral and finished our morning time together with a nice stroll (that just happened to include a stop at the LasMargaritas Restaurant- joining the others that decided to stop and watch the guys work on their new frontage that will provide patronage seating at low windows in order to enjoy our newly updated square ) Ron and I completed our walk grabbing some specialty popcorn from Payne & Payne Such Like.

Already sitting back in the AC post less than 30 min - beautiful short stroll around the neighborhood, exercise (walking with Stormy by my side exploring the surroundings), afternoon sun (working on some tan legs), smelling some wood smoldering in neighbor’s yard, honey suckle, fresh cut grass ( which took me down memory lane). Placed my handy convenient tool back in its spot (hanging on mail box- just in such a case as this - unplanned clean up) placed half bag of litter in dumpster! Now , now that’s an afternoon for ya! Exercise (mine and Stormys) Memories, Tan. You got to love it!!!!!

I had such a great Saturday morning! Ron and I had a the best coffee and breakfast the morning together before he went off to his scheduled golf game.

Ronnie informed me that evidently some dogs had scattered one of the garbage cans on the square inside the square in front of the Rio! So, I had planned to miracle grow / water the plants on square so I just added in garbage pick up also!

Get up there and barely see any garbage but there was a church selling gift baskets as a fundraiser- I had my suspicions that who ever set up for fund raiser had picked up! and yes, I confirmed she had picked all that garbage up. I explained my plan was to pick up dumped garbage and thanked her for getting to it first. This was my first encounter with a community volunteer this morning!

I go ahead and finish picking up on square only get a few steps into my adventure and the special lady in the pick that had just got thru working out at one of the two gyms on our . I cordially ask if she and her friends are having a good morning?she wants to thank me for my community service and then ask! “do you have an extra grabber- I want to help pick up” Well, this day , I did just happen to bring an extra! Mindy was such a great help and inspiration! Thank you Mindy! This was my 2nd volunteer in one day!

I love love our little square and the county it sits in! So many nice helpful people!!!!

I made it convenient, so when I check the mail, if I see surrounding needs picked up I get to it! Love it!

Possible recipients to benefit from You, Being A Good Enviro Neighbor !

Anyone and everyone that lives around you.
Anyone who enjoys a pristine neighborhood, park, beach, or public walkway.
Anyone and everyone that takes the opportunity to use teachable moments to inspire pride in helping to keep our neighborhoods picked up.

What you’ll need

Plastic bag to collect trash: Hey ! I put one in my pocket even on the shortest strolls, if I have an opportunity to keep our neighborhood picked up - Im going to make the most of it.
How else are you going to get rid of all those plastic bags —

*small garbage can liners!
*neighborhood clean up every time you see something that needs picked up!

Gloves : Hey I’ve actually used the plastic bag as a glove, if I happened to be without my pick-up stick.

Pick-up stick: Hey, I am going to hang one on the side of my mail box - I have been to check mail and I invariably see an opportunity to pick up and or fill a bag just with in a block of my mail box and I was prepared to not only help pick up around my front door which just happens to be in a neighborhood….lol and a few more steps counted on my fit bit does not hurt me AT ALL and who benefited from my pre-planning.

Anyone and everyone that gets to drive by our office Saf-T-First Drug Testing.

So, go ahead put your plan in place. You will be glad you did and we all benefit…..
