Yesterday's Arbor & Earth Days Celebration was a success! We started off with a Story Time and Tree Talk at the Library followed by an informational tree planting at the Courthouse. Thank you for all of our supporters, we are planning big things for 2026!

This Saturday, April 25th come to the Mercer County District Library to celebrate Earth & Arbor Days with us and our Urban Forester Kathryn Brautigam! 🌳 🌎 ☀️

Kathryn Brautigam is the West Central Regional Urban Forester with the Ohio DNR, Division of Forestry and works out of Sidney. She grew up in Anna, Ohio
and earned wildlife and forestry degrees from Edison Community College, Southern Illinois University, University of Arkansas Monticello, and Texas Tech
University. She has traveled and worked in many different ecosystems throughout the country, her favorite being the unique limestone savannah and woodlands of
central Texas.

Three of our members took part in The Heritage Tree planting today. In commemoration of America's 250th anniversary this program has organized the planting of an Ohio White Oak in all 88 counties.

Today, 4/17/26, an Ohio White Oak was planted on the North-East corner of the Mercer County Courthouse Lawn! 🇺🇸 🎇 🌳

Names for our spring tree lottery were drawn the old fashioned way!! 🌲 Six Celina residents were selected to receive a FREE tree (tree and planting included) this spring!!
