Thats a wrap!!

Assets have been transferred. We are closed.

This is not something to be sad about; but celebrated.
We had this amazing opportunity for 3 years; Something I had dreamed about since I was a teen. Having an animal rescue.
One lesson I always taught students was to "change the thought? you change the feeling"
So on that note; when one door closes, another shall open.
Thank you is not enough.
I was planning on making a video montage but I do not have the emotional capacity for that at the moment. So there is one playing in my mind.🥰

Dont be a stranger.
Love your horses.
Love your authentic self.

The hardest part of animal rescue work is
Not the labor
Not the financial strain
Not the fundraising
Not the logistics
It is the selflessness.
It Is NOT about saving a life at all costs
It is about saving the quality of life
You have to love with all your heart-
But not more than you love them and their needs
To know when you are saving them for yourself vs saving them from suffering.
It is unfortunate that we get put in situations to have to make that heart wrenching decision but it is the responsible option to consider when we evaluate their situation

As we are wrapping things up for our organization; there is so much to be grateful for! Obviously the supporters, donors, volunteers, and board that made it all possible.

But most importantly the parents that trusted me with their children to not only interact with 1000 animals but to be an ear and a safe place to truly be their authentic self.
The children that filled the barn with smiles and pride as they not only learned but trained things by themselves.
The helpers that believed in the mission as strongly as I do.
I will still be here. I will still and always be doing whatever I can to help horses in need, as well as helping others with their horse connection!.
Please do not be a stranger. You all have came into our lives for a reason, and you all have given me just as much joy as the horses have given you.
Sea2Stable may close but hearts do not.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This is getting hard.
I have gotten to know several kiddos/teens through LIFT and Big BrothersBig Sisters. I have watched them grow in confidence and emotional intelligence. I am at the point where they are wrapping up their visits and saying goodbyes.
So grateful to have crossed paths with them; but this part is "poopy"

Working in the rescue industry is utterly exhausting. Emotionally more so than physically.
This is why I have also dedicated significant time to prevention.
Education!! From a biology and psychology degrees, lameness and nutrition classes, and ongoing research and training; all to be equipped to focus on and intervene at the level of prevention and unfortunatey also treatment.
Whether it be lack of understanding, resources, or sheer stubbornness- many do not ask for help until it is too late.
Rehab can be possible in many situations but not all. So please; I beg of all of you. If you see a situation turning out poorly: PLEASE speak up to somebody. Be the voice of the horse before they are destined to a life of suffering.
Owners, put your ego aside. If you have taken on the responsibility of horse ownership, you need to do right by them and their needs! NOT what is the best situation for you or fulfill your needs.
Rescues try to do their best, but we are not miracle workers. Do not wait until it is an impossible situation that you finally just don't want to deal with.
Please reach out! So many are willing to help before it's too late
