Thyme is such a beautiful and undervalued herb. People tend to dismiss culinary herbs because they are common, but the culinary herbs are some of our most valuable herbs for supporting winter wellness. Thyme has properties that are anti-viral, anti-microbial, and combined with honey and lemon makes an excellent cough syrup. Combined with sage, it soothes sore throats. You can be a good herbalist just by knowing how to use a few common plants, because often the best herb for your situation is the herb that you actually have on hand.
