¡Enhorabuena Naylea en tu puesto nuevo en Cedar Falls High School!

Welcome to Cedar Falls Schools, Naylea Verdinez! She is joining Cedar Falls High School as a Spanish teacher and is beginning her first year in the classroom.

A 2026 UNI graduate, Naylea is looking forward to building connections with her students and fellow educators. She chose Cedar Falls because of the teamwork, dedication, and commitment she has seen throughout the district.

Outside of school, Naylea enjoys thrift shopping, getting matcha with friends and family, walking her dog, and reading rom-com and horror literature.

This is a month where we honor and celebrate the culture of our people ❤️

We are super excited to announce the upcoming events we have planned!

Wave Your Flag: Color and design a flag representing your culture or just for fun. With it, dress up and show off your outfits, top 5 will receive a prize.
Mangonada & Trivia Night: Come have some delicious mangonadas and play some trivia!
Guess the Song: Guess the latin hits and win prizes! Food will be included.
Jugado Juntos: Lets play some yard gamessss

It's the first UNIdos event of the semester. ¡No se lo pierdan!

Hola!!
We are so excited to announce that UNIdos will be hosting a Kickoff event to start off the new year!

It will be held at the Threehouse from 5-8pm on August 31st. There will be food, music, and games! Come hang out get to know a little more about us and most importantly each other :))

‼️This event will be held “comida” style so if you know any delicious recipes or can bring any snacks the more the merrier‼️

We are so excited to see everyone there, have an amazing rest of your week and we will see you on Monday!!
