Thank you for your patience as we work through kit distribution. With IKAA coming up, we may need to support testing for as many as 600 KADs. We are not sure of the final number yet, and there have not been many kit transfers so far, so we have had to set aside a majority of our existing kits for this event.

That is why we ask anyone traveling to Korea to transfer their DNA ahead of time or request a kit in advance. We are also in the process of ordering new kits. We are a very small team of volunteers serving thousands of adoptees, military families, and people searching for lost Korean family members. Our goal is to distribute kits and test people in Korea next year so we can create more DNA matches and more reunions.

There are sometimes unforeseen delays with kit distribution and processing, and we ask for a little more grace while we work through them. Thank you again for your patience. We look forward to continuing to serve the Korean community.

Please consider transferring your DNA if you tested at Myheritage, 23andme or Ancestry to FTDNA before coming to Korea for IKAA. this will help us to save a dna kit for someone who has not DNA tested at all and you will receive results within about 24-48 hours. Please refer to the repost for further instructions.

thank you!

We have had the privilege of assisting many of the adoptees in her films with finding their American GI fathers as well as their Korean families. We have also assisted so many more over the decade. In majority of the cases, we have found their Korean side because they had a Korean half sibling or niece/nephew that tested. If you haven’t tested yet, please go to our website 325Kamra.org and request an FTDNA kit. If you have tested elsewhere, please consider transferring your kit if possible. Please see our previous post about transferring.

For those of you attending Ikaa 2026 please review this blog post regarding transferring your DNA results. It will take a couple of days to get this done because there is a delay between requesting the existing results and being able to get the file to upload. Please consider transferring to ftdna and gedmatch. If there are issues, please email us at [email protected] and we will assist. It would be awesome to be able to facilitate a reunion.

Congratulations on the Full Sisters that just matched with us. They were adopted to the same family together which is a gift considering the result of Korean adoptions and family separation over the decades

We were given a name of someone who lived in the US. Fingers crossed that the information is accurate.
