The next Catskill Repair Cafe will be on April 19th at the Catskill Firehouse from 10am-2pm. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. We anticipate a good crowd so arriving early will be beneficial, especially for electrical and mechanical fixes.
2. Please ensure all items are as clean as possible.
3. We charge at cost for available parts. If we do not have your part on hand you will be asked to purchase it at the local hardware store and come back that day or to a future event. If you know your watch needs a new battery for example, it’s advisable to purchase it before you arrive.
3. Once inside, you will register and be shown to the appropriate waiting area. If you have more than one item, you will have to take a seat at the next waiting area once your first item is fixed.
4. If you leave the building and are not available when it's your turn to receive assistance, you will have to wait till the others in that area have had their items repaired.
5. Please be kind, patient and considerate of others. Everyone working the event is a volunteer and we do the best we can to keep repairs moving along. Additionally, there may be times where a fixer has a last minute emergency or sickness and will be unable to attend the cafe. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but there is no way for us to notify you ahead of time. 6. There will be light refreshments including coffee, tea, and baked goods from Bonni Bakes Catskill.
