The CSM Project is searching for volunteers, mentors, and network builders who believe young men transitioning from challenging beginnings deserve the opportunities to succeed.

Our mission is to stand in the gap and help young men move confidently into adulthood by creating pathways to military service, higher education, and the workforce. That happens through people; people willing to mentor, open doors, make introductions, and invest time and wisdom.

New year. New focus. Intentional impact.

As we step into this new year, intentionality is at the forefront of everything we’re building at The CSM Project. Since launching around Veterans Day, we’ve been laying the foundation; learning, listening, and preparing to serve with purpose. We took the time to be fully present with our loved ones during the holiday season, and now we are looking to the the new year with focus and determination in making meaningful impacts in the lives of young men looking to a better future.

This work is bigger than any one person. Growth doesn’t always come from big gestures, often it starts with something simple.

Feeling incredibly thankful today. ✨ Watching The CSM Project, the nonprofit created in honor of my father CSM (Ret) Glenn Blackwell, come to life has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. What started as a vision has grown into something real because of the hard work, love, and unwavering dedication of the people around me. I’m humbled and grateful for every single person who has poured their heart into this mission to date.

I’m beyond excited for what’s ahead; to help young men move from uncertainty to clarity, from doubt to confidence, and from simply surviving to truly thriving. If we can change even one trajectory, then every step has been worth it… and we’re just getting started. 💙

Honoring CSM (Ret.) Glenn Allen Blackwell Nov 14, 2025

Today, on CSM (Ret.) Glenn Allen Blackwell’s birthday, we’re celebrating a leader, mentor, and the inspiration behind The CSM Project.

CSM (Ret.) Blackwell rose from deep adversity, facing childhood instability, homelessness, and countless challenges to becoming a highly respected leader in the U.S. Army. His life is a testament to what’s possible when a young person is met with opportunity, mentorship, and unwavering belief.

The CSM Project was created in his memory to carry that legacy forward.

In his honor, The CSM Project stands with young men transitioning from foster care, group homes, and unstable housing as they move into college, careers, or military service.

This Veterans Day, we are proud to launch The CSM project, a nonprofit founded in honor of the late Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Glenn Blackwell, a man who rose from hardship to become a soldier, mentor, and leader who changed lives.

The CSM project carries forward, his legacy by supporting young men aging out of detention, foster care, and transitional housing. Through our community programs, we provide essential resources and mentoring for success, including pathways to pursue job training, higher education, or military service
